i questioned getting these proenza schouler booties and let me tell you it may be my best shoe purchase ever. my feet can never last in heels all day at work. i wore these all day at work, my two days off running errands all day long, then day after day after day after day after day at work, all day everyday. they may be the most comfortable heels ever. i love them. you can go ahead and glue them on.

i have a new obsession. 1stdibs and this william “billy” haines sofa. i want it so bad. michael and i just found our condo in uptown last week and now it is time to get some goods to go inside. i want all the milo baughman and t.h. robsjohn-gibbings pieces. who am i kidding, i want all the 20th century pieces.

another impressive collection this season was dries van noten. the color combinations he used were amazing. he used shades taken from francis bacon paintings. shrimp pink, beige, ocher, orange and mauve. the shapes were very vintage, had a european look. loved it. what can be better than fashion and a surrealist genius.

this was hannah macgibbons first pre-fall collection for the house. she did such an amazing job keeping the chloé look as well as adding so many new elements. there was so much eighties inspiration behind this collection. the sharp shoulder, the bows, the big crystal beads. the blanket capes and carrot-legged suits were amazing as well. i am a little obsessed with these two evening gowns from the collection. i always love the femininity of chloé as well as the color palates.

michael and i decided to make our visit to the redbox for a movie night and there was absolutely nothing. so instead of going to blockbuster next door we decided it was a good idea to go to target which is next door as well and buy a movie. now it makes no sense at all, but at the time it did. we ended up getting vicky cristina barcelona, a film by woody allen. michael hated it, but i actually enjoyed it. in the movie javier bardem plays an artist, as does penelope cruz. it made me want to paint so bad. they both were abstract painters with huge canvases and they may have been messier painters than i am, if that is possible. they used their hands and rollers. there were buckets filled with paints. i think i may go crazy if i can not get a studio space soon.

how hot is justin from the hills. i do not mind the long hair and scruff but he looks pretty good all cleaned up too. may have to rethink the top 5 list once again.

tomme sent me the rest of our engagement pictures. i can not put them all up, but i will probably squeeze a few in here and there. we had fun. she is amazing. the first picture caused me to rip my new nina ricci dress. so sad. but it was worth the shot, and it can always get it fixed.

in less than 100 days he will be my husband. i am pretty excited.

the walls on the back of a run down grocery store on james island have been covered with the most amazing graffiti i have ever seen. it is all done with spray cans. here was the newest installation. from what i hear the artist is called sheepman. if you are ever on your way to folly beach and pass buffalo south on your right turn in and go behind the building. you will be impressed. this must be a clemson tiger.

i can not wait to see the movie Where the Wild Things Are. I used to love the book when I was a kid, and the movie looks so awesome. the book was written and illustrated by maurice sendak in 1963. its a classic and i am so excited it has been made into a movie.
